Get Well Soon was looking at a very good Festival Summer this year. Altough the weather was not that nice for some of the feativals, the people, organisation, the slots, the feedback and reviews really were. A big hug and thank you to everybody, who was involved at the Southside, Hurricane, Tolwood, Billa, St. Gallen, Festival En Stock, R(h)einkultur, Roskilde, Les Ardentes. We're looking forward to the Highfield and the club shows in Wiesbaden and get well soon's first concert on a boat in Regensburg!

We are happy to announce, that Wallis Bird has signed a record deal with COLUMBIA Records, based in Berlin, for Continental Europe. This is an addition to our already existing great relationship with the label RUBY WORKS for the UK and Ireland.

We are very excited to be working with such a well respected and successful label with a long history of working with influential artists. We are looking forward to a long and successful relationship with the whole Columbia team.

After spending some time in the studio to work on recordings TLB will release their debut single "Take A Photograph" at the 11th September in Germany. The campaign will kick in and be worked in August and September. We have some great features planned.

Marcus Wuest finished Production

Our producer Marcus Wuest just finished the upcoming album of Wallis Bird, where he, Wallis and her band worked alongside people like Jeremy Wheatley (Duffy, Sugar Babes, James Blunt, Depeche Mode, Sam Sparro) and Jon Davis (U2, Prodigy, Snow Patrol etc.). We are all very excited about the album!

WALLIS WINS AT THE METEORS!

We are thrilled to announce that Wallis has won the prestigious Meteor Award for Hope for 2009. The Meteors are the Irish equivalent of the Grammys, Brits and Echos, and were held at the RDS Concert Hall in Dublin!

Michael, the frontman of The Life Between wrote and produced the scoremusic to the trailer of the 2008 german economy film awards.

New Wallis Album

Wallis is currently working on her second album together with her producer Marcus Wuest, her band and musician friends. The album is being recorded in Germany, Ireland and England, and will be released in 2009.

WALLIS BIRD ON NATIONWIDE TV AD CAMPAIGN

Wallis Bird provides the music on the national TV advertising campaign for The Sun newspaper. The advert, which is part of a high profile campaign to promote The Sun's new 30p price, has been airing frequently on prime-time on all the major terrestrial and digital channels. Wallis performs a unique cover of Depeche Mode's 'Just Can't Get Enough', and her version is due to be digitally released at the end of October following an influx of phone-calls to The Sun's switchboard asking for the song to be made available.

GET WELL SOON Deluxe Release

Get Well Soon will release a Deluxe Christmas Edition of his Debut album 'Rest Now, Weary Head! You Will Get Well Soon' , in Germany, Switzerland and Austria in October. The deluxe edition includes Christmas songs written for friends.

GET WELL SOON GOES CINEMA

Konstantin Gropper (Get Well Soon) has written two songs for the new Wim Wenders picture 'The Palermo Shooting' which recently had it's world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, where it was in competition. The movie is about a well known photographer searching after a car crash for the meaning of life in Palermo. It stars 'Die Toten Hosen' singer Campino as well as Dennis Hopper and Lou Reed. The beautiful soundtrack features Nick Cave's Grinderman, Velvet Underground, Portishead, Will Oldham and two(!) exclusive songs by GET WELL SOON. Exciting!

If That Hat Is Missing, I Have Gone Hunting' from the debut 'Rest Now, Weary Head! You Will Get Well Soon' is also featured in the new Austrian drug-comedy 'Contact High', starring famous German director Detlev Buck himself.

Working on "Lights"

The Life Between are working on their debut album "lights" in the former EMI-Studios in Cologne together with the producer Wolfgang stach (Guano Apes, Such a Surge, Karpatenhund etc..).

Billie Holiday feature

Universal Republic US comissioned the producer Marcus Wuest to produce a track together with Wallis Bird for a tribute Album for the legendary Billie Holiday. Thanks to everybody who made this happen

Wallis Bird in TOP 10 of iTunes UK Album Download Charts after just 1 week and TOP 3 in the iTunes UK Pop Album Download-Charts.

Wallis Bird Video ON AIR

The video for Wallis Bird's first single, 'Blossoms in the Street', is being broadcast by a host of TV stations including VH1. It's a one-shot whirlwind-of-a-video which was directed by the upcoming director Mark Wordsworth, and heavily based on Wallis' own script. The single is released on October 15th and the video has been gathering praise from all corners. Thanks to everyone involved.

Get Well Soon on iTunes Chart

We're very happy to report that the German digi-release of Get Well Soon's EP 'All that Keeps Us from Giving In' has gone straight in at number 47 on the iTunes alternative chart.

Wallis Releases in Japan

We're delighted that Universal Japan have released Wallis Bird's debut album 'Spoons' both physically and digitally, with plenty of instore promotion at the larger retailers such as Tower Records. Wallis is picking up quite a lot of heat in the Japanese market, with the video for 'Blossoms in the Street' being shown on MTV Asia and the video being shortlisted for a viewers video vote.

Get Well Soon Hits Up the Festivals

Get Well Soon has been playing festivals in Europe over the summer, including Glastonbury, Latitude and headline spots at the ObstWiesen Festival and Orange Blossom Festivals in Germany. Next up is a performance at the prestigious Haldern Pop Festival, one of the most important indie festivals in Germany with 30,000 in attendance. Press reviewers have been getting very excited about the artist, with some describing him as 'the heir to the Arcade Fire's throne'.

Wallis Bird Plays to 30,000

Wallis played in front of 30,000 people at the legendary 'Das Fest' festival in Karlsruhe, Germany at the end of July. Prior to this, she played a very successful tour of Ireland - thanks to all of our Irish partners for great teamwork there.

WALLIS BIRD PROMO TOUR

Wallis Bird just finished her press and promo tour of Germany. Covering 5 cities in 5 nights (Hamburg, Munich, Berlin, Frankfurt and Cologne), Wallis played in venues that were nearly all sold-out, and did live radio sessions and interviews all week. Wallis Bird's Live-Session, which was recorded in London's famous Abbey Road Studios in February 2007, is available now. The Live-Session was done in cooperation with ASCAP, WorldSpace Radio and Napster.

The Branches Untangle Tour 2006 was a complete success! For 13 dates, Wallis hit the stagess in South Germany and played venues like the Alte Feuerwache in Mannheim, THE SWR3 NEW POP in Baden-Baden, the Jubez in Karlsruhe, Abdera in Biberach, Sinkasten in Frankfurt etc. etc. About 2500 Visitors saw Wallis and Band live in action! Marcus Wuest produces Wallis Bird's Debut Album
Wallis will produce her Debut album together with producer Marcus Wuest. Wallis and Marcus will begin working in March in a studio in rural Germany.
