Our producer Marcus Wuest just finished the upcoming album of Wallis Bird, where he, Wallis and her band worked alongside people like Jeremy Wheatley (Duffy, Sugar Babes, James Blunt, Depeche Mode, Sam Sparro) and Jon Davis (U2, Prodigy, Snow Patrol etc.). We are all very excited about the album!
WALLIS WINS AT THE METEORS!
We are thrilled to announce that Wallis has won the prestigious Meteor Award for Hope for 2009. The Meteors are the Irish equivalent of the Grammys, Brits and Echos, and were held at the RDS Concert Hall in Dublin!

French Connection - THE SEQUEL! After great success with the debut album and very beautiful shows in 2008, GET WELL SOON return to France in April/May 2009, to play concerts in Reimes, Grenoble, Paris, Lille along with some of the best festivals ... TBA! GWS will also play shows in Italy, the Netherlands and Switzerland on that tour and we are very excited about that. Marcus is currently working together with Wallis Bird on her second album, which we are very much looking forward to. He recently finished mixing and mastering Get Well Soon's christmas album "Rest now - Songs against the glaciation" together with Konstantin and also mixed the debut album of UK artist Sarah Grace Horley.

Wallis will play a headlining tour in Germany and Austria in November, including 9 dates. Aidan, a great irish singer-songwriter, will support the tour.
New Wallis Album
Wallis is currently working on her second album together with her producer Marcus Wuest, her band and musician friends. The album is being recorded in Germany, Ireland and England, and will be released in 2009.

WALLIS BIRD ON NATIONWIDE TV AD CAMPAIGN
Wallis Bird provides the music on the national TV advertising campaign for The Sun newspaper. The advert, which is part of a high profile campaign to promote The Sun's new 30p price, has been airing frequently on prime-time on all the major terrestrial and digital channels. Wallis performs a unique cover of Depeche Mode's 'Just Can't Get Enough', and her version is due to be digitally released at the end of October following an influx of phone-calls to The Sun's switchboard asking for the song to be made available.

Get Well Soon will release a Deluxe Christmas Edition of his Debut album 'Rest Now, Weary Head! You Will Get Well Soon' , in Germany, Switzerland and Austria in October. The deluxe edition includes Christmas songs written for friends.
GET WELL SOON GOES CINEMA
Konstantin Gropper (Get Well Soon) has written two songs for the new Wim Wenders picture 'The Palermo Shooting' which recently had it's world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, where it was in competition. The movie is about a well known photographer searching after a car crash for the meaning of life in Palermo. It stars 'Die Toten Hosen' singer Campino as well as Dennis Hopper and Lou Reed. The beautiful soundtrack features Nick Cave's Grinderman, Velvet Underground, Portishead, Will Oldham and two(!) exclusive songs by GET WELL SOON. Exciting!
If That Hat Is Missing, I Have Gone Hunting' from the debut 'Rest Now, Weary Head! You Will Get Well Soon' is also featured in the new Austrian drug-comedy 'Contact High', starring famous German director Detlev Buck himself.
Working on "Lights"
The Life Between are working on their debut album "lights" in the former EMI-Studios in Cologne together with the producer Wolfgang stach (Guano Apes, Such a Surge, Karpatenhund etc..).

GWS just finished their video shoot for the new single "Listen", which was done in a submarine. We are very much looking forward to the great video, which was directed by Jan Ole Gerster.

GWS will kick off their European tour in Hamburg on 26th September. The tour will lead them to the uk, ireland, benelux, france, germany, switzerland and austria.

The Life Between
We're happy to announce that we have started working with a great new four-piece band called The Life Between. The band are currently producing their debut album 'Lights' with producer Wolfgang Stach in the former EMI studios in Cologne.
