Karakter Worldwide wants to say thanks to their artists and their business partners for an exciting, intense, successful and great year 2010. We are looking forward to a great year in 2011 and great steps together with our artists and partners.

GET WELL SOON TOUR IN NOVEMBER

After their European tour in spring 2010 which included sold out shows in Brussels, Paris and London, GET WELL SOON's latest record "Vexations" is still fascinating and and high listet on readers charts in Musikexpress and others. We are very excited to come back with some very special shows in selected clubs and festivals, like: RollingStone Weekender Festival, Amsterdam Melkweg, Berlin Admiralspalast (20 years of City Slang with Calexico and The Notwist), Katovice - Ars Cameralis Festival, Heidelberg - Castle - 15 years of Karlstorbahnhof (with LE GRAND ENSEMBLE).

Hadestown is no 9 album of top100 in the Sunday Times

"Hadestown" a folk opera by Anais Mitchell was listed #9 at Sunday Times Best 100 albums in 2010! We are joyfull and happy. A very good start into the holiday season. Congratulations and thank you all involved in this album from Karakter Worldwide.

LCMDF SIGNS TO HEAVENLY RECORDINGS

We are very happy & proud to announce that LCMDF (Le Corps Mince De Francoise) are signed now to London's well known, respected and legendary label Heavenly Recordings. The label has a histroy in great music, they did records e.g. for Doves, Saint Etienne, The Magic Numbers, Edwyn Collins, Maniac Street Preachers etc. etc. We are looking forward to the relationship. The LCMDF debut album will be released in February 2011.

WALLIS TOUR

Wallis just finished a very successful tour in Germany, Switzerland and Austria with over 3000 people coming to the shows. 8 more dates this year in London, Benelux and France. Thank you everybody who came and was involved.

Anais Mitchell tours the UK

Anais Mitchell has just announced a full UK tour in October with shows around the country from Brighton to Edinburgh. She will also play in Milan, Turin and Berlin while in Europe.

LCMDF on BBC Radio1

We are very happy that BBC Radio1 already plays Gandhi. This is the first single of the upcoming LCMDF album. Great!

GET WELL SOON shoots AUFNAHMEZUSTAND

Get Well Soon just returned from a 2 day shooting for a new TV music show calles Aufnahmezustand. It will air on 3Sat on the 18th of December 2010. The pilot went really well, looked and sounded amazing. It took place in the old beautiful area and studios of former DDR public radio station. We are very excited. Don't miss it, airing for the first time.

The Life Between & South Korea

The Life Between released their debut album "Colours Of Your Choice" with a bang in South Korea. The upcoming will be released in Europe in early 2011. We are happy.

Wallis on Tour in Europe

After a fantastic festival season, including shows at Lowlands, Pukkelpop, Frequency, Montreux Jazz and Oxegen, Wallis will be back on the road during October and November, with a tour that includes dates in Ireland, England, Germany, Holland, Austria, Switzerland and Belgium.

Wallis returns to geman, austrian & swiss stages. After the big festival summer for her, everybody is also happy to see her in clubs in October and listen to some songs that are probably on her upcoming 3rd album. Wallis and Band will play in Innsbruck, Winterthur, Munich, Erfurt, Berlin, Nuernberg, Wetzlar, Biberach & Konstanz.

The Life Between Sign Recording Contract

We're happy to announce that The Life Between have signed with Leeway Mediacomm to release their debut album domestically in South Korea. We're looking forward to working with Leeway Mediacomm and releasing the album next year

LCMDF at Iceland Airwaves

Now in the final stages of their debut album production, LCMDF will be playing a string of high profile shows and festivals over the coming months, including Iceland Airwaves and the Berlin Festival.

Karakter Welcomes Anais Mitchell

Karakter Worldwide is proud to announce that we are working as European management for Anais Mitchell, in cooperation with her US-based worldwide manager Slim Moon. Anais' most recent album 'Hadestown', which features contributions from Bon Iver and Ani diFranco, received rave reviews from critics across the board, including 5 star reviews from The Sunday Times, NME, Guardian and Uncut. We are delighted to welcome her to the Karakter family.

We are very excited to annouce LCMDF on this years BERLIN FESTIVAL at the old airport of Berlin: Flughafen Tempelhof. They will find themselves in good company with acts like Soulwax, Hot Chip, Soulwax, Atari Teenage Riot, Caribou, Fatboy Slim, Tricky, Gonzales, etc. etc.

We are proud to announce a fantastic Festival Summer for GET WELL SOON including Madrid Spring Festival, the grand Synch Festival in Athens, Villa Medici in Rome, Traumzeit Festival Duisburg, this year's fantastic MELT! Festival, Frequency, Dour, Sonnenrot, Zurich Open Air, as well as some special wonderful Indie Festivals like Appletreegarden, Phonopop, Sonnenrot, Kulturufer, La Pampa, ZMF Freiburg etc. Plus Get Well Soon is playing the INTERNATIONALE DONAUFEST in Ulm, again with the Grand Esemble.

KARAKTER WELCOMES LCMDF

Karakter Worldwide is proud to announce that we are working with Finnish band LCMDF (Le Corps Mince de Francoise).

Sisters Emma and Mia have been wowing audiences with what The Guardian describes as 'pristine, pulsating electronic pop' since 2007. The NME described the Helsinki duo as 'sending Euro dives into raptures' while Clash asserted they were 'dead cert ones to watch'. With an album chock-full of blistering tunes in the final stages of creation, LCMDF will be playing festivals and shows around Europe over the summer, before releasing the album later in the year.

New Boots OUT NOW in France & Benelux

Wallis Bird's actual album "New Boots" is also released now in France via Jive / Epic Records and Benelux via Rough Trade.

Wallis Bird's cover of Depeche Mode's "Just Can't Get Enough" has become the music to a nationwide TV ad for South Korea Telecom and it reached so much attention that Wallis' actual album "New Boots" has been released there as well! Excited!

GET WELL SOON EUROPE TOUR

We are very happy and proud, that the Get Well Soon European tour, following the very successful release of the latest album "Vexations" in Europe, was such a big success. They played 36 shows in 11 countries and had been on tour for 43 days. Thanks to over 15.000 people, which made it to one of the shows.

WALLIS "NEW BOOTS" IN GER/SUI/AUT

Wallis second album "New Boots" was releases in those countries at the 12th of march 2010 and we are very happy about a great next step. The first part of Wallis Release Tour with 9 shows and over 3000 people attending to the shows was a great success. The second part will start 7th April in Rotterdam, followed by over 20 shows all over Europe.

GET WELL SOON ENTERS THE CHARTS

We are very excited, that our artist GET WELL SOON released his brandnew second album "Vexations" last week and entered the album charts in Germany on No. 11, in Austria on No. 28, in Switzerland on No. 30 and in France on No. 81 and in Greece on No.7 (!!) We are very proud about Konstantin's success and even more about his great album.

We are very happy to announce, that Wallis Bird won the METEOR AWARDS (irish equivalent to the brit awards and the echo) in the category "Best Irish Female Artist".

MUSIC FOR SAME SAME BUT DIFFERENT

Besides VEXATIONS, to be released in January 2010, Konstantin Gropper found the time over this year to write, arrange and produce original score music of Detlev Buck's new brilliant movie "Same Same But Different", starring David Kross. The pictures and the music together make a fantastic movie that comes out in Germany on the 21st of
